After years of using Notepad++ I am now officially making the switch to Sublime 2. With some awesome version controlled snippets via Github (still setting all of that up) and everything that Sublime has to offer a part of me is just thinking "Why didn't I do this earlier?! I'm such an idiot!".
I have now semi-officially moved the blog to www.carloseriksson.com where all future posts will happen. Soon I will migrate all the posts from here to their new home.

The Logarithmic Love/Hate Chart
What started as a moment of boredom turns into a miniature journey into the relationship between Love and Hate as seen through the eyes — search results — of Google. Also, there's charts and numbers because everybody loves charts and numbers, right?

Designer != Artist
Or… "The Designer is not equal to the Artist".
The perfect design. The perfect logo. The perfect… something. We all strive for perfection. Or well, at least I hope we all do. At least I'm "guilty" of this all the time. I firmly believe that if you're going to do something, give it your all and do it awesomely! If you're not going to bother doing it properly, don't bother doing it at all. This belief vibrates through my entire being and it's the reason I get fucking angry when people ask me do less than what I can. But in our pursuit of this perfection isn't it reasonable to think that we made many failures getting there? So why do we make such efforts to hide our failed designs?

The Three Designs
I like keeping myself active. No, that's not quite true. I suspect some people think it sounds better to say it that way but the truth is; I get bored easily. Like stupidly easily.

Taking Responsibility — Confessions Of A Web Designer
Today I was asked to put blinking text into a website. Today I had to make a choice. Live with the consequences of knowing that I've contributed to making the internet a worse place or refuse.
I refused. But this isn't just a story about just that. It's also the story of a boy waking up to his path.

A Matter Of Subjective Importance
Let's get the important to me — but useless information to you — out of the way first; Coheed and Cambria's conclusion, The Afterman: Descension, to the double albums Ascension / Descension has finally been released. It came out last Tuesday and it's super-fucking awesome! If I was wearing a hat I would lift it, pure awesomeness boys and one of the few albums where every song is pure win!
There. Now I'm done with that. I'm going to keep listening to their album on repeat for quite some time, because why frankly… it's that awesome. Check out my "This Is My Jam" profile and listen to Gravity's Union to hear what I mean. Oh [deity] that sounds horribly self-promotional. What could I do to counteract it. Nah, you know what, don't check out my current jam if you don't feel like it. Do listen to the song though. It's awesome. Here's a Youtube link if you don't believe me.
Now I'm actually done "promoting" this. Join me after the jump and read more about, well… other stuff too. Like coffee roasting and web design.
